We were so fortunate in our vendor choices as we planned our wedding. Of course, I’m neurotic research girl, so started researching pretty much from the moment we got engaged. And I’d been drooling over Disney weddings for years, so once we discussed THAT as an option, I had a short list for certain categories, like photography.
I actually booked our photographers, David and Vicki Arndt Photography, a few months before we were able to confirm our actual wedding date and venue with Disney!! We were so certain pretty early on that we wanted them to be our photographers, they were the first vendors I booked. In my conversations with them, I discovered November was a super busy month for them, and I was worried they’d be snapped up by someone else!
We also booked our videographer, Cinemedia, a month or so before we got our final date confirmed with Disney–and they didn’t have a lot of experience with Disney weddings, so trying to explain that I wasn’t actually 100% sure of my date or time or venue just yet was a pretty interesting conversation. Fortunately, they were super flexible, and agreed to refund our deposit if for some reason, we didn’t get our date, and they were unable to schedule our alternative date.
I know that all of these vendors are businesses, and I know how many brides depend on the reviews of other brides to help them make their decisions, so one of my high priorities after the wedding was to post detailed reviews on sites like the Knot, Wedding Wire, etc. Here are the reviews I posted for my vendors (note: this list is a work in progress; I will keep adding the reviews as I track them down):
