Book Reviews: Mysteries

Don’t you just love a good mystery?  I like a lot of different kinds of mysteries.  Spine tingling, page turning thrillers; comfy cozy mysteries to curl up with on a cold night; mysteries with a hint of romance (my favorites, a lot of the time); mysteries from the past; mysteries from the future; even mysteries with supernatural or paranormal elements.  I never quite know what will capture my attention.

I love twisty surprises sometimes; sometimes they feel manipulative.  Sometimes I love to figure out the ending on page 10, sometimes I think that’s boring.  Some of that may be my mood, but I suspect it’s more often about the quality of the writing itself–the world that is built, the quality of the characters and the mystery.  Sometimes, if the book is really good, you don’t want it to be over, even if you know how it ends.  Hopefully, you might find that you like a couple of the books I’ve been impressed with recently  as much as I did.

Keep reading and happy dreaming!

The Wonkiest Witch: Wonky Inn, Book 1

This one falls into the “Cozy” mystery category, but it definitely has supernatural or paranormal elements.h
