EPCOT Fast Pass+ Attractions

Currently, EPCOT is divided into 2 distinct areas: Future World and World Showcase.  Most of the EPCOT attractions that use Fast Pass+ are located in Future World.  The main exception is Frozen Ever After, a boat ride in Norway themed to the movie Frozen.  It the newest attraction at EPCOT (at least until Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure opens later this summer!) and is very popular.  The other attraction in World Showcase available for Fast Pass+ booking is EPCOT Forever, EPCOT’s nighttime show.

EPCOT uses a two-tiered approach for Fast Pass+ reservations.  This means the most popular attractions are grouped together into one group.  The remaining attractions are grouped together into the second group.

Disney World ticket holders can book up to three Fast Pass+ reservations per day, up to sixty days in advance of their Disney World visit.  (Sixty days for guests staying on Disney property; thirty days for park guests with tickets staying off property).

With the Tier system, you may choose ONE of the attractions in Tier One for one of your Fast Pass+ reservations.  Your other two choices for the same day will come from Tier Two.

Fast Pass+ Planning

The most popular attractions at EPCOT currently are Frozen Ever After, Soarin’, Test Track and Mission: Space (orange).  Note: Mission: Space has two distinct levels.  Orange is the more adventurous and tumultuous mission, while green is the less intense version.  A Fast Pass+ reservation for Mission: Space enables you to ride either the orange or green experience.  However, it is usually orange that has longer lines.  If you prefer to ride the green experience, you may not need a Fast Pass+ reservation for this attraction.

If your group are early risers, your best bet is to get a Fast Pass+ reservation for Frozen Ever After for late morning or early afternoon, and head to either Soarin’ or Test Track as soon as the park opens.  Soarin’ lines move faster as the ride has more capacity, so generally, Test Track should be your first stop as long as you are in the park when it opens.  Alternatively, Test Track has a great single rider line–If you are ok with splitting up to ride (you can stay together in line, you just won’t ride together), the single rider line will save you TONS of time over the regular stand-by line.

Most of the Tier Two attractions don’t usually need a Fast Pass+ to ride, except during very busy periods.  However, you never know what will happen when you actually visit–FP+ reservations are always good to have.

Once you’ve used your three FP+ advance reservations for the day, you’ll be able to book additional FP+ reservations via the My Disney Experience app on your smart phone.  Subject to availability, of course.  If you don’t have a smart phone, you can also book via kiosks located in the park.

Good luck with your planning!

Happy Dreaming,
